No matter your exercise goals or simply relaxing while watching the sun set over Hong Kong skylines, hk pools provide an ideal place for taking a dip. There’s an impressive variety of pools here, ranging from public swimming complexes and member’s clubs (not forgetting the ocean) to hotel rooftop pools – and these tend to be more pricey options than many. Some pool amenities may only come included with hotel rooms or spa packages; others cost hundreds of dollars for day passes – but when swimming in luxury can include sipping champagne to your heart’s content? I consider that an absolute victory.
At Rosewood Hotel is one of the finest rooftop pools. Their Asaya pool stretches 25 meters long and provides stunning views of Victoria Harbour. Furthermore, there are sun loungers and a bar to order food and drinks; plus there’s even an impressive waterfall at its edge adding extra ambience to this relaxing setting.
Ritz Carlton also features an incredible rooftop pool, measuring 25 meters long with stunning city skyline views. As with other rooftop pools, there are sun loungers and a bar available to stay hydrated during your swim session; plus there’s also a water slide and jacuzzi!
Even though this pool may not be as big, it still boasts many great features. It is the only outdoor heated and offering free Wi-Fi access so that swimmers can stay connected while they swim, and also boasts an underwater music system!
Southern District public pools are definitely worth seeing, such as Pao Yue-Kong Swimming Pool in Guangdong Province. This large complex features a main pool with spectator stands as well as smaller training and teaching pools – and even fun water installations like mushroom- and tree-shaped fountains!
RegCo was established to take over management of all New Territories swimming pools from Urban Services Department in 1986, taking over their operation. Over time, RegCo has constructed several new pools. Government efforts have focused on upgrading existing pools and developing new facilities. A future Wan Chai swimming pool planned for demolition to make way for Exhibition Centre station of Sha Tin to Central Link is welcome news as the current one often gets very crowded on weekends; especially during summer months when many schools close and residents visit public pools for daily workouts.
